Abiding in the Word Ministries was founded by Deborah W. Dutko, Rochester, New York, to reach brokenhearted women with the good news of the gospel, to teach sound biblical principles in a confusing, deceptive world, and to offer hope in a biblical counseling and discipleship ministry. This is a multifaceted, Christ-centered ministry to aid women who desire to live a transformed life.
Deborah passionately teaches the Word in the Greater Rochester Area as a key note conference speaker, workshop leader, and inductive bible study teacher. She has the unique ability to communicate biblical principles to women regarding the many perplexing issues they face today. Deborah compassionately challenges them from the Scripture to grow in their knowledge of the Word, be conformed to the image of Christ, and be overcomers. She heeds the admonition of the apostle Paul to be diligent to present herself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, and to speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine. She exhorts other women to do the same.
Certified as a lay counselor by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors Deborah compassionately ministers the Word to bring hope to women who are struggling. Heart issues are lovingly rooted out to reveal unbiblical habits or sinful responses to people or circumstances. Tangible help is offered to women who are in despair and desperate for answers. Believing in the sufficiency of the Word of God, Deborah makes the Word relevant to each woman’s trial. She also utilizes and recommends relevant resources for biblical living that further instruct women how to grow and change, to develop Christ-like characteristics, to have a reverential view of God, and a desire to glorify Him. Deborah challenges women to know Christ the Wonderful Counselor intimately, be restored to the joy of their salvation as they are renewed by the Holy Spirit, and cleansed by the washing of water with the Word.
